Disney Junior: Minnie's Bow-Toons

Sponsored Post

Both my children were delighted that Disney once again asked us to preview a new series called Minnie's Bow-Toons before its premiere on Disney Junior on November 18th at 10:50am. This is a follow up to a special show we previously reviewed in March - Minnie's Bow-Tique. This new series is the first time that Minnie has been the star of the show and each 5 minute episode gives her a chance to find novel uses for her amazing range of bows and bow ties.

An all female cast in the episode we reviewed have to crack the problem of leaky pipes. There was the usual mix of Disney humour plus problem solving and team work. Daisy Duck helps to run the Bow-Tique and she gets taught some useful skills by Minnie in order to save the day together. I wonder what else she will get up too as the series goes on? Apparently this is Minnie's second attempt at running a business after a gap of 78 years when she ran a lunch cart supplying building sites back in 1933. Let's hope this business is more of a success for her!

My children enjoyed it so much it went straight back on again. Their only complaint was that it was too short! If you have the Disney Junior channel at home then the whole month of November has been celebrating Mickey and Minnie Mouse. I think my children may start nagging me to add it to our Freeview package...

As a family historian I was pleased to discover on the press release that Minnie's real name is Minerva Mouse and that her parents were Marcus and Margie Mouse. Don't forget to tune into Disney Junior on November 18th at 10:50am to watch the full episode.
