#CountryKids in Carnac

Country Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall

It's going to take a while to get through all our French adventures! Luckily they are ideal for Country Kids as we were out and about a lot. The first week of our holiday was at La Grande Metairie near Carnac staying in a caravan belonging to Canvas Holidays. So glad we were not in a tent as some of the weather was horrendous:

Not much chance of an alfresco meal on this day! No-one really fancied a scoot around the site either:

Luckily the town of Carnac was a short drive away and we could explore its old town centre:

Then as my mum and I had spotted a park and play area when we got lost looking for the supermarket earlier we went on a mission to find it. On the way we saw lots of beautiful flowers bejewelled by rain drops as the town was having a flower celebration:

Once we found the park my daughter headed straight for the wonderful climbing frame and quickly got to the top:

The park is located on the edge of the town at the base of the hill and had something for children of all ages as well as adults:

They had a lovely wildflower meadow in the middle planted to attract bees and butterflies:

Eventually my son was tempted from the main play area into attempting the climbing frame. He didn't get as high as his sister but a lot higher than he has ever gone before:

I love the way that this was such an eco friendly park with even a big house built in a shady spot:

All in all Carnac is a great little town for Country loving people!

Carnac is beautiful, what a shame about the weather! I can see you didn't let that stop play for long though, the children looked like they had a great time exploring the park and challenging themselves. Thanks for linking up and sharing with Country Kids.
