#CountryKids An active outdoor Sunday

Country Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall
On Sunday my daughter was invited to go on a bike ride with Gramps from Kendal to Staveley. The longest and toughest ride she has done since she got her grown up bike for Christmas. Whilst they were gone my son and I headed out for run together:

It was a freezing cold day but the sky was pretty blue. My son set a good pace but he needed some well earned walking breaks as we went round. There was even time for a family selfie whilst he got his breath back:

He warmed up enough to take his jacket off part way round. I only divested myself of hat and gloves:

It was a long run for an 8 year old so I was very proud of him:

Hopefully it will help him build up his stamina for his proper fell racing. He runs faster than me over shorter distances but at the minute I can just out do him on the longer routes:

As for my daughter she was very proud of herself for managing the hills between Kendal and Staveley and I am sure that she and her Gramps will cover many miles together!

It's fab to see how your very active family spend your weeks, I'm super impressed with your sons stamina, I struggle doing that sort of distance with plenty of walk breaks some days. It's great that your daughter got to get out for a bike ride with her gramps as well. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
