#CountryKids at Pentewan Sands

Country Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall
There is no way you can come on holiday near the sea side with children and not go to the beach even if the weather is not beach friendly! So we jumped in the cars and headed a few miles from our accommodation to Pentewan Sands. The beach is in private hands but the car park was reasonably priced. Unfortunately its a dog free beach so the canine member of the family had to be returned to our house. It was a beautiful if chilly setting:

My daughter wanted to get into the sea so decided to change in to her swim kit and ran off to the water:

Rather rapidly she came back seeking her wet suit:

Once the children were kitted out properly they headed for the sea:

My daughter even tried out the body board she had bought in Wales last summer:

After a while we had children who were on the verge of hypothermia so we got them dressed and took them home to have warm baths. Then we returned to try out the brand new Hubbox burger bar for tea. It is right on the beach so has wonderful views:

My brother had the national burger of the year Big Kahuna:

The rest of us tried various burgers and hot dogs which were delicious. The boys attempted to finish off their meals with milkshakes but only my son came close to finishing one:

After chatting to the manager we headed out for a bit of beachcombing to let the dinner go down:

I can see why this is an incredibly popular beach in the summer time!

Castle Drogo looks like a great place to visit, it's great that they have some interactive parts for the kids to enjoy too. The activity trail looks fab, I like that they have designed it with different age ranges in mind like the written version vs the stamp version. I felt dizzy just looking at the photo down through the scaffolding so I'm impressed! Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
