Reasons to be Cheerful: Fixes, Family and Fun #R2BC

R2BC at Mummy from the Heart

The linky is still being hosted by Michelle so please pop over to her blog! I have got plenty of reasons to be cheerful this week but here are just a few:

1) Bargain

We don't have a sofa and our armchairs are the wrong shape to curl up on. So I grabbed a bargain off our local Sell and Seek of another armchair plus footrest that we can share when watching TV or a movie:

2) Girl time

This weekend I had lots of time with my daughter both country dancing, then with a movie marathon with pizza on Saturday and finally the bridge tournament on Sunday. We were supervised by this handsome chap:

3) Proud Mum

Whilst we were at the bridge my dad took my son to his first Sportshall competition of the season in Blackpool. He narrowly missed out on 1st place in the chest push and was the highest scoring member of his club in his category!

4) New Shows

I thought I had better check out the hype that is Stranger Things. Oh boy is it creepy but gripping! I have decided its best to watch it whilst wearing clothing I can hide behind:

5) Pokemon Go

This is still providing me with plenty of exercise, some socialising and the fun of trying to Catch 'Em All! We added 2 new Pokemon to our collection this week and its good working out which one to aim for next...

6) Fixes

I had a wobbly bedroom window with big draughts and yesterday it was fixed by the landlord! Yay to a warmer and cosier bedroom.

  1. lol to Stranger Things. I also keep hearing about it but haven't yet checked it out. I'm not great with creepy things. Have a fab weekend, Mich x

  2. I LOLed at that photo of you hiding behind your collar. I love scary movies and dramas though. You so need to get a sofa. And I'm impressed that you play bridge. My mother is big bridge player but I never made it past Kalooki so our matches and marathons are in that. Have a great weekend.

  3. This is a really cheerful post (unlike mine, sorry!) and as someone who lives in a draughty old house, I can especially appreciate how cheerful it makes you when rooms become warm and cosy. Well done to your son too x
