What do you have to do? Simple:
1. Link up a post about something that is making you happy or grateful. It can be a list, photos or any way you fancy
2. Add the #R2BC badge (at the end of this post) onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they want to
3. Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and why not share with #R2BC too?
I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on social media too.
Meanwhile here are my reasons to be cheerful for this week:
1) Lots of evening walks
My son and I have fallen into the habit of walking after dinner and before bedtime. He says it is his favourite moment of the day. Kendal is so peaceful at that time of night and its still light as we approach mid summer. This is Stramongate Bridge and Kendal weir:
As well as familiar places we have walked in some new ones. My parents took us on a walk around Skelsmergh and we also went up to Fisher Tarn reservoir:
The relaxed rules meant that 6 of us got together to celebrate a couple of June birthdays. My daughter laid out the deck so that each household was socially distanced. We brought up a Chinese from Ruby's and my daughter had baked a birthday cake:
I was chauffered (we all wore masks!) which gave me a chance to snuggle in the back with Sherlock:
5) Virtual Pub Quiz
For the last 2 weeks I've done a virtual pub quiz online. My score has been rubbish but its been fun! This week we had a virtual disco afterwards as it was the last one:
I started a Clothkits Cloth Kitty more than 8 years ago! All the stuff for finishing her clothes was basically cluttering up my cupboard. I bit the bullet to do the kind of sewing I got rubbish reports for at school... This means she now has completed dungarees and mostly finished knickers:
Now it is over to you...
I'm with you on those evening walks, they are so nice. Glad you were able to get together with your family. Mich x
ReplyDeleteWe need to start doing evening walks now that we're out of quarantine and it's too hot to walk during the day. The birthday cake looks delicious - I sort of wanted to reach in and takes a bite. I'm impressed with your real teacup and saucer instead of a mug. This is the mug generation and I mourn some things that got lost along the way. Have another good week. xxx
ReplyDeleteI love Sherlock, he's so cute.
ReplyDeleteWalks are one of the things keeping me sane, although I prefer to do mine first thing in the morning.
