Thank you to Michelle for hosting in March its now over to me for the month of April! I do hope folks will continue to join in by linking and commenting. I will visit you all and share your posts. Here are my reasons to be cheerful this Easter holidays:
1) Single parent holiday
My son and I were co-ordinating a holiday for 42 people at the YHA in Sherwood Forest. We love doing these as we get to meet new people and stay in new places. I may have been born in Nottingham but its not a part of the world I know well so it was good to return:
2) Farm fun
I have already blogged about the fun we had at White Post Farm. How could sights like this fail to raise your spirits:
3) Fun and Games
Part of my role on the holidays is to keep folks entertained and to help them gel with fun activities. The biggest hit this weekend were the plastic cup games. I will be blogging about these later but for now I leave you with our 55 cup pyramid:
4) Easter Egg Hunt
We hid eggs for all 24 children in the grounds and they had so much fun running around and finding them. Some of them were harder to get to than others:
5) Go Ape Junior
Again this will be a full post on its own but I finally persuaded my son onto Go Ape Junior. We both had an hour balancing and sliding in Sherwood Pines:

Great reasons as always! Your weekend away looks great x
ReplyDeleteIt was great but I needed a few days rest to recover!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your animal photos. We have not been to a sheep but we did go to a pig race once at a rodeo. What a fun day! #countrykids
ReplyDeleteLike you I worry that my older ones will find activity farms a struggle now, but I think the go karts and the indoor sledging would be a hit, as well as cuddling tiny animals
ReplyDeleteOoh what a fun farm. It looks like great fun :) #CountryKids x
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely day out, not too from us so will keep it in mind for future visits. I also worry if the older children will be entertained but their looks liket here is something to keep everyone entertained #countrykids
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend. (Apart from the Go Ape of course - #youknowImawimp.)
ReplyDeleteWe love birds of prey. Throw in animals and a playground and you've got an awesome day out! #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteWe've been here, it's a great day out isn't it and sounds like you made the most of it. Do they still have that crazy wooden tower set up for the goats?! #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteI love the sheep race, I think I must have seen a post from here before as I remember the sheep racing and showing it to Farmer Nick, ours are all pregnant at the moment so I wouldn't want to put them through this but there is certainly some fun to be had later in the year. It looks a lovely place for a day out.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing with me on #CountryKdis
