Reasons to be Cheerful: Sunshine, Garden and Wainwright Bagging #R2BC

R2BC at Mummy from the Heart

I am feeling in a particularly cheerful mood as I host for the last time before handing back over to Michelle! The financial pinch of 2 weeks with no paid work is over and although I am not working full time I can breath again... So here are my reasons to be cheerful this week:

1) Tutorial in the sun

We didn't have as long a heatwave as everyone else in the UK but my student on Thursday made the most of it by having her lesson in the garden:

2) Gardening

Since writing about my front garden last week I have made even more progress! I grabbed some 50p bargain flowers from the supermarket to add some instant colour. My wild seedlings are beginning to sprout and since this photo the grass has been cut:

Just hoping that my sad looking jasmine will survive!

3) Wainwright bagging

Whilst filming the fell races on Saturday I took the chance to finally get to the top of Cat Bells. You can see how pleased I was with myself:

4) Kendal Winter League celebrations

The Kendal Winter League had its finally race this weekend and afterwards all the prizes were awarded. This is how the Rylance family from Ambleside celebrated 3 age group victories:

5) YouTube

Yes I know I celebrated this last week but thanks to filming a big fell race I managed to get over 1,000 views in 48 hours! In fact it peaked at 1,500 but I didn't get a screenshot... There are now 111 folks subscribed to my channel so I guess I have found my niche and need to keep on honing my filming and editing skills on fell races:

  2. I'm looking forward to seeing that centre piece in your front garden as it grows into a mature plant. Lots more photos please. xxx (p.s. I'll be along tomorrow).

  3. Fab action photos, and well done for getting to the top of Cat Bells! I'd say your winter jasmine will be fine, it's one of the few plants here I've failed to kill... Have a good week, and glad that work is returning your way again xx
