In August my son and I went to Stackpole in Pembrokeshire as co-ordinators for Single With Kids. We were staying in National Trust group accommodation close to the coast:
On our first day we had a group trip to the beach at Broadhaven South which required a walk through the woods:
Then we walked passed the Bosherton Lily Ponds with the 8 arch bridge at one end:
On this occasion we crossed over at the other end though:
After about 2 miles we reached Broadhaven South beach
The adults were pretty keen to paddle in the sea:
It wasn't really beach weather and most folks on the beach were well wrapped up as they explored:
It was fun trying to pose for silly photos in the sea:
However the furthest I got in was to my ankles:
Luckily someone had brought the right kit to play rounders as we needed to get warm. A highly competitive parents v children match resulted in well deserved adult win:
Once it started to rain we abandoned the beach and headed back to our accommodation. On the way back we saw some fishermen who had caught a pike in the lily ponds:
