#PigbyAndFriends our day at Aardman Animations for Pigby's Fair

Following on from receiving a handmade pig we were invited down to Bristol to Aardman Studios to see how they put together the new NatWest savings game for children Pigby's Fair. I was so excited about going to Aardman I drove to Bristol and back in a day! Just walking into the reception was amazing:

But of course we were there to see about Pigby and not all the other Aardman creations! So we were taken up to the cinema for a presentation:

Back in 2012 we got involved in NatWest's Pigs by Kids competition and my daughter created a pig. Today in the post she received a soft toy version of her creation, my children were so impressed:

The lovely people at NatWest sent us a crafting kit so that my children could design their own pigs for the NatWest PigsByKids competition. The idea is that children submit a pig design for the next official NatWest pig. I can remember the original NatWest piggy banks though I didn't have one myself...

My daughter was very keen to use as many of the contents as possible for her entry! She loves getting all creative so this was right up her street. This is what she finally created:

Certainly one of the most colourful pigs I've ever seen! I will be submitting it to the website and hope she is voted the winner.
