WHAT IS A PAYTAG?
It’s the new way to pay using contactless technology. Around a third of the size of a credit card, it’s a sticker you can attach to the back of your mobile phone, allowing you to make contactless payments.
IS IT SAFE?
In a word – yes. If you lose your PayTag or it gets stolen, you’ll be protected against fraudulent activity, in just the same way as with your contactless Barclaycard.
WHERE CAN I USE IT?
PayTag can be used on over 100,000 contactless readers across the UK
From your first morning coffee to your late taxi home, with a new PayTag you can make contactless payments up to £15 (increasing to £20 from 1st June 2012)* in seconds at a huge range of places, wherever you see the contactless symbol.

#CharityTuesday: Malaria Awareness
Did you know that April 25th was World Malaria Day 2012? Many of us have watched the appeals on programmes such as Children in Need but to get more information its well worth a visit www.worldmalariaday.org.
The Novartis Malaria Initiative
For over a decade, the Novartis Malaria Initiative has been a pioneer in the fight against malaria. Focused on access, treatment, R&D and capacity building, the initiative is the largest access-to-medicine program within Novartis measured by the number of patients reached annually. Together with our partners, and with our continued patient-centric approach, we are committed to the common goal of malaria elimination.
They have brought out a children's Friends Against Malaria toolkit so we can share our awareness of malaria with our children. As part of this they have a video on YouTube as well as more videos for adults.
One day we may win the battle against malaria but until then let's keep spreading the word.

Family Fun: Museums - Kendal Museum
Here we in week 9 and this week's theme is museums. These are great places for family fun especially on a wet weekend and many of them are free! We are very lucky to have a nice little museum here in Kendal which is within an easy walk/bike ride from our house. If you have a post about museums why not add it to the blog hop:
On Saturday after doing some chores in town we happened to be passing the museum and the children were more than willing to detour in there for a bit of fun. In the downstairs section of the museum they have different exhibits that run for a fixed period of time. The current one is Rock Solid and is artistic interpretations of why Cumbria is short listed for storing nuclear waste (a highly controversial scheme):
The previous Egyptian exhibition was more interesting for my children so we didn't last too long before they wanted to head back upstairs to the main exhibition room. This takes you through the history of Kendal from the Stone Age to modern day with lot of items on display that have been found in the local area:
As you can see from the above photo my children know their favourite part of the museum and weren't interested in stopping to look as they were wanting to play with the castle in the medieval section:
