The Gallery: Mother Love

Tara has dedicated this week's Gallery to World Vision's Mother's Day campaign and challenged us to Mother Love for the theme. I looked at the photos I had with my kids and didn't like the way I looked so I've gone off on a tangent:

This mother sheep was lovingly protecting her lambs from the humans looking at them over the wall! An archetypical Cumbrian scene at the minute...

The Gallery: Expressions

Thank you Tara for another lovely photographic challenge! Please click on the camera above to see all the other entries...

I came across this one when browsing some older photos and it shows the love on my daughter's face as she shared a bath with her baby brother (the novelty eventually wore off!). He is gazing back up in wonder at his big sister. Where have those 4 years gone....

The Gallery: Love

It's that time of the week when Tara at Sticky Fingers challenges to post a photo or photos to fit this week's theme. This week its love which is a chance to look at some soppy photos from my archives!

Situation Vacant

Job Title: Father Figure

Requirements (as per DD): Good looking, slim, rich, fun, have a dog

Applications: to DD as she will vet any potential new man in my life

Time frame: if DD had her way tomorrow, for me not until dust settled on divorce

So far she has offered me the potential of:

  • a recently separated dad from her school
  • "John the Plasterer" who's van we keep driving past
  • the security guard who offered to buy me a beer after I gave him some sun cream
  • Steve Backshall from Deadly 60 - she does sometimes have good taste ;-)

This could be a long drawn out process and hopefully once she has her Gramps in her life on a regular basis she may not be so desperate!
