Reasons to be Cheerful: Half Term #R2BC
I really can't believe its half way through half term and my last week as host for another month! It means that the lovely Michelle will be hosting again next week. Meanwhile here are my reasons to be cheerful this week:
1) Beautiful Autumn Days
On the days when the sun shines it really is glorious at the moment with all the Autumn colours. I had time to appreciate Fletcher Park when I came home the long, slow way from town:
2) Birthday Goodies
I have finally been successful in spending the last of my birthday money on a much better running watch. It has a longer battery life and tracks my steps as well as connecting to my phone! I just need to sort my foot out to be able to get running properly again:
3) Appreciating Nature
This lovely swan was cleaning itself on the shores of Windermere when we paused at Waterhead yesterday:
4) Active Fun
I may not be running very much but we walked 4 miles together at the weekend whilst playing Pokemon Go.
5) Cute Canines
How could this beauty not make you smile?
I am looking forward to reading everyone's posts and I will share them on social media and comment. Please do visit all the other linkers and share the happy:
Oh my, is it that day already? I'll be back later. I also love the colors and waning sunshine of Autumn. xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and that looks like a great running watch - sorry you've had to take a break, and hope you get back to it soon xx
ReplyDeleteI love that your son's still enjoying Pokemon Go so much, mine all dropped it after a week or so. I knew it was wonderful for encouraging them to go out walking and enjoying the fresh air but it's great that it encourages socializing with other players too! I'm sure you just enjoy your time in the fresh air enjoying the views whilst your son doesn't realise he's even exercising.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.
Wray castle looks like the perfect place to explore with kids, National Trust is always so good for families but I think this is one of the best I've seen. There's so much for kids to enjoy indoors there too, I bet your son was in his element for hours. Those views were spectacular too, I bet on an incredibly clear day you can see for miles around.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the fun with me on #CountryKids.
Wray Castle looks like a great place to visit. The grounds are beautiful. I know my son would not have wanted to skip an outdoor balance area or a walk by the lake no matter the weather. I am a little jealous when I see posts about castle visits. We don't have any near us. #countrykids
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Pokemon walk! Ok, who ended up with the most steps? #countrykids
ReplyDeleteI don't think we've ever tried Pokemon Go, but this looks like a fun way to make a walk more entertaining for the kids!

We headed here earlier in the year but decided to miss out on the interior of Wray Castle. I'm sure that my girls would love the soft play. Thank you for showing us around. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteMy lot have gone off Pokemon Go and to be honest I really loved how it made them want to get out and explore.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you all had a great time. #countrykids
National Trust properties never fail to give a good day out do they.
ReplyDeleteI love you had the option to hid from the drizzle and still have some fun indoors. #countrykids
Wray Castle looks like such a wonderful place. I like the look of the Beatrix Potter birthday room and it looks like you had fun exploring the grounds too. Love that giant bubble and glad the rain eventually stopped too! #countrykids
