#CountryKids Fell Foot Halloween Parkrun

Country Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall

Today it was the annual Halloween parkrun at Fell Foot today and my son and I had volunteered to be tail walkers. So we really thought we had better dress for the occasion:

It was good to see that other folks had joined in the spirit of things too:

It was a big turn out with 276 finishers so it was a big briefing:

Then we had the award for parkrunner of the year which went to one of regular volunteers:

There were some spooky looking characters waiting for the start alongside plenty of witches:

The marshals had really got into the Halloween spirit too:

Being at the tail meant we got to see this fierce contest between the two front runners one of whom was under 18:

Some of the runners were doing a great job in full costumes:

Judging by this pile of masks by a tree there were a few runners who had discovered that their costumes weren't really designed for exercising in:

The costumes didn't slow down our regulars though:

All in all a lot of Halloween fun:

Although a dress is not the most practical outfit on a muddy course:

I think these two had the best idea to sit it out in this rowing boat:

In the evening my son and I went back and did the 3 km Fright Run which round the park in the dark! Lots of fun but a little bit creepy...
