After being fabulous for Sports Relief my son deserved a treat so as the sun was shining we headed up to Brockhole. It was just after lunch at it was fairly quiet in the car park. The gardens were looking very spring like:

First stop was the adventure playground as my son still had tonnes of energy to expend:

It was so beautiful down at the lake with snow on the Langdales across the far side from the jetty:

As it turned out the kiosk down here was closed we had to head up to the main centre passed the magnolia trees that are about to burst out:

Having made it up the top I persuaded my son it was time for a trip to the cafe. I needed a coffee to warm up though he had an ice cream whilst we admired the view:

Suitably refreshed we paid for our golf round and headed back to the lake shore to play our round. We were all alone on the course which made it so much more relaxed:
It was a close fought game and ended as a draw (there was plenty of cheating going on!)
By this time the centre had closed so I paid for our parking and we headed home feeling wind burned but happy.
