I was volunteering at Keswick Mountain Festival this weekend and one of the perks was access into the music. This gives you a taste of The Farm and Melanie C plus the atmosphere and stunning location. Can you spot the man on his stag do?:
It certainly was a deserted beach and looking at the Forecast for France of late I'd say you were very lucky with the weather there. The campsite sounds perfect too with that lovely fun pool. I'd never thought to create a sand marble run, I rather like the idea though.
How exciting to have been to the spot that will be the start of the Tour de France. It sounds like a great day out exploring with he usual explorers mistakes, like tide times and chateau opening, it sounds like you found a way round everything and discovered a gorgeous beach. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your French visit over the coming weeks.
It's annoying how everything in France seems to shut down at lunchtime - I'm French and every time I go back, it takes a while, and several mistakes, to readjust. Anyway, Noirmoutier looks like a lovely place. I find the salt beds quite intriguing - can you tour them? #CountryKids
What a shame that the beach was further than you had been told - but sounds like you made full use of it. I haven't seen these marble run videos but sounds like they are good for getting kids thinking.
I love how the French are at school at this time of year so it's all quite. What an experience to be able to watch the Tour de France and be able to say - oh we were there.
