I have to say that Center Parcs is a fab place for Country Kids. I just wish we could afford to go every year and not once every 6 years! This is a taste of what we got up to this week in Sherwood Forest:
We enjoyed the beautiful forest surroundings:
We played snooker and table tennis indoors:
We refined our 10 pin bowling techniques:
We played several rounds of Adventure Golf:
My son got over his fears to go down the Grand Cascade with me:
and down this chute:
Big sister went down the rapids and the tubes but wasn't caught on camera... We enjoyed the tranquility some more:
My brother and my daughter faced their fears of heights to take the leap of faith:
and scale the heights on the High Ropes course:
Little brother stayed on terra firma to practice his goal keeping skills in a soccer tournament:
In the sports hall we had some very competitive badminton matches:
To round off an amazing few days we went and shot at each other with laser guns:
Phew I am shattered but I so want to go back!!
That looks fab! We go to Longleat every two or three years (we went a couple of months back), so I wanted to see how similar/ different Sherwood is. The Grand Cascade and chute are different, but the rest of it looks very familiar (and exciting!). Popping over from Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteWe love CP at Sherwood too - you look to have had a brilliant time. Hope the break has done you all good! xx
ReplyDeleteAnd breathe. Bet you need a rest after all that. So much to do. CPs always seem to have such wonderful settings. #CountryKids
ReplyDeleteWow - you packed so much in. I'd love to go to CP one day, looks fab #CountryKids

ReplyDeleteIt's fabylous for families
ReplyDeleteIt is a very colourful post alright! I love those blue walls, I have a room here painted in a similar colour and I'm not bored with it 20 years later :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got away for a break x
It looks like you really packed a lot into your center parcs trip, it's great to see your kids face their fears and do the activities they were nervous about. Those woods do seem like a tranquil place to get away from all the football, swimming, high ropes and the rest that you could enjoy. There's only smiles on the faces in the photos so I'm guessing that means it was a big hit! Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteI just love Center Parcs - we've only ever stayed at Whinfell but I think Sherwood looks gorgeous too. I just love staying in a forest! I think we'd like to try Longleat out in the next few years #countrykids

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time. I really want to go, but know I'd not be able to make the most of it for a few years when N is older.
ReplyDeleteWOW! This looks so amazing! I am chatting away to my husband, calling out all the superb activities and hoping we can visit one year, on a trip home to see the folks in the UK. Glad you enjoyed such an amazing and fun holiday.
