#CountryKids in Bradford

Country Kids from Coombe Mill Family Farm Holidays Cornwall

I have missed joining in with this linky! Looks like I have a backlog after over a month of enforced blog silence. So I will start off with last weekend's trip to Bradford. This may not seem like a Country Kids event but read along and it will become clear ...

We took the scenic route (in the rain) via Skipton and arrived in plenty of time for our showing of Horrible Histories at the Alhambra:

It was an incredible show with laughs, things that made you jump and plenty of fascinating facts about the people who have invaded Britain since the Romans.

When we came out we nipped into the National Media Museum next door for a quick bit of TV fun:

A retro game of Pong:

Then we headed outside in to what had become a glorious day:

Whilst waiting for lunch the children discovered the Mirror pool in Centenary Square and were allowed to go paddling. When they came back in the pub my son was soaked from getting right into the fountains..

After eating we all went out and the children had so much fun getting soaked and mucking about in the water:

What a fabulous addition to the city that gives a proper place for children to be Country Kids in the heart of a city!

Glad you're back on-line and fair play to your mum for her contribution to making it happen! Looking forward to following all the progress on the house now x

  3. Oh my what fun, horrible histories and then going wild in those fountains, I wish we could build one of those at Coombe Mill, they would be so much safer than a pool and just as fun! A great addition to the city. Lovely to see you back on Country Kids.
