#CountryKids in Whitby with Dracula
Saturday's excursion with Single with Kids was to Whitby with its evocative Abbey ruins:
The Abbey dates back to AD 657 and the ruins are from the 13th Century. Yet another victim of Henry VIIIs Dissolution:
The children and I enjoyed exploring the ruins which my daughter and I both loved photographing:

#CountryKids at Boggle Hole
Our first day at Robin Hood's Bay wasn't the sunniest but it didn't stop us from having outdoor fun! First of all though my excited daughter discovered that Ben Miller was also staying in the village and he kindly posed for a photo:
The official plan for the day was a walk to Boggle Hole. Due to the way the tides go we weren't going to be able to get there along the beach:
So we set off along the Cleveland Way which turned out to have an awful lot of steps:

Reasons to be cheerful: Enjoying the holidays #R2BC

2) Car trouble
A reason not to be cheerful was my car failing its MOT this weekend... However the garage managed to make me legal again in time for a drive down south!
We spent the weekend with my school friends back in Buckinghamshire. A super sunny day in their garden and my son loved their table tennis table:
4) Shiny fridge
Having a low stock of food in meant that I got a chance to give my fridge a thoroughly deep clean. A good chance to chuck out things that have expired and get everything better organised.
5) Maize Maze
A fun day to make up for a housework day! We got thoroughly lost in the maize maze:
