Reasons to be Cheerful: Roses, blue skies and speeding up #R2BC

R2BC at Mummy from the Heart

I may have to dig out my ark construction plans but I still have reasons to be cheerful! Michelle is having a week off so come and share the happiness with me instead:

1) Declutter

We had a much more successful car boot last Sunday. It's good to part with things we no longer need and add to the holiday kitty. Nice for me to see familiar faces and chat too!

2) Roses

I love this time of year as my roses are starting to hit their peak. Most of them are surviving the deluge too:

3) Blue skies

Unlike most of the UK we have actually had some blue sky this week! I made the most of the lovely weather on Sunday evening to take a little jog up to the castle:

4) Speeding up

Having realised that over short distances I'm hitting speeds that equate to a 30 minute 5 km, I decided to use my Jeff Galloway intervals to really push myself at parkrun today. My stamina did wane after the first 2 kilometres (and cafe hill) but I knocked 30 seconds off last week's time! This is pushing closer to one of my goals of a 50% age grading:

Join In and Share the Happiness!

I love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is easy to join in with no complicated rules -

1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like

2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy

3.  Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and why not share with #R2BC too?

  3. Well done with the running and lovely to see another beautiful pic of the fells. I think I need a simple guide to car boot sales, I could really do with going to one, but don't know where to start!

  4. Get anything together that you want to flog. Sort it into groups e.g. homewares, books, kids' stuff. Get a table or waterproof groundsheet to put wares on. Find a good local boot. Grab a float so you have change. Get there as early as you can to set up. Flog it!
